Simplicity. Creativity. Unique.
These are three words that describe Jetté Faith Momant. Some would call her a professional bridesmaid (she's been in nine weddings); others have called her a sassy Martha Stewart type (pre Martha's jail time—"It's a good thing"). Most would describe Jetté as an innovative creative who sees possibility in almost any situation.
Jetté's creativity was first awakened as a child when she received her first paint by number set, but she soon graduated to painting without numbers to guide her. Instead, her exhaustive imagination acted as her guide and the beauty of creation played the part of her muse.
While in college she spent her summers teaching creative arts classes at a camp near New York City, and her fall and spring seasons were spent being a Dormitory Resident Advisor (RA), Managing Editor for the college paper, President of Circle K community service organization, and a hostess of elaborate dinner parties for her friends.
After college, Jetté moved back to Austin and interned with Denise Walpole of Soiree Weddings, where she discovered that one of her fortes was unique event design. She then started Décor Jetté Event Design and Decoration, an event planning business with an emphasis on "on the edge" and "avant garde" décor.
While building up her own business, she assisted Vivian Miller of Fairy Tale Weddings and Special Events. Jetté was impressed with Vivian's excellent attention to detail, sincere concern for her clients and superb customer service. This experience with Vivian really helped Jetté to understand that the best coordinators go above and beyond for their clients.
As Décor Jetté built more momentum, Jetté added more experience under her paisley-printed sash belt: She become the event designer for Austin's largest monthly business networking luncheon, What Goes Around, and worked as the gallery/event/catering coordinator at Chez Zee American Bistro. She also hosted, created, and decorated many original events including local band shows for The Bourbon Legends and Both Ends of the Ten, poetry slams, benefit dinners, and various coffee house events.
Jetté is currently joining with the organic Plant Escape Garden/Diaz Art Gallery as their exclusive event coordinator.
